Microsoft rolls out new OneDrive for Business Sync Client Preview for Windows and Mac
Its been harsh 3 weeks since Office 2016 for OneDrive for Business users. Current OneDrive sync client is not compatible with newer version of office and early adaptors like me had to find alternate ways to work on files stored on OneDrive for Business.
Much awaited, and a significantly delayed, OneDrive for Business Sync app is now available for preview.
Businesses with Office 365 subscription can Sign Up now for the preview version.
Following are the feature highlights;
- Sync up to 10GB file, current limit is 2GB.
- Allows selective sync, to save on disk space. Allows specific folders to sync. You can apply different rules on different devices.
- There are also significant improvements for iOS and Android mobile apps.
- Microsoft also refined the OneDrive for Business browser experience.
The Preview of OneDrive for Business Sync Client is available only on Windows 7, 8 and 10, 8.1 clients may have to wait till early 2016.
