The difference being the Digital one will support either downloads via PlayStation Store or games streaming via PlayStation Now. PlayStation Digital Edition is expected to cost lesser than the other one.

Release Date

Sony has kept the release date as vague as Microsoft’s Xbox. PlayStation 5 is expected to launch during US Holidays, typically between November and December 2020. However, I am sure Covid 19 will play its part and things go south we may expect delays.

Price

Considering vague launch dates, it was expected that the prices won’t be revealed. 1TB version of PS5 is rumored to cost around SGD 800 (USD 600), while digital edition may cost under SGD 600 (USD 450).

Accessories

Sony also introduced a new Dual-Sense controller, HD Camera, Wireless Headset and Media Remote.

First Impressions

PS5 is bigger, taller and under-powered as compared to Xbox One X series console. It is, however, a lot more powerful than any existing consoles. Moreover, Sony’s strength is in the quality titles they showcased during the show, which was simply awesome.

I didn’t like the standing design. The white color with unusual curves can be distracting, even more than the blue led light. Yes, it looks futuristic but not to my taste, but that’s me. All-in-all, this is one of the most awaited the console upgrades and would love to have it on my collection.
